DECREE
The Holy Father Francis grants to each and every member of the Institute of Apostolic Life “Fraternitas Sancti Petri”, founded on July 18, 1988 and recognized by the Holy See with the juridical status of “pontifical right”, the authorization to celebrate the sacrifice of the Mass, the ritual of the sacraments and other sacred rites, as well as to recite the Divine Office, according to the typical editions of the liturgical books in force in 1962, that is, the Missal, the Ritual, the Pontifical and the Roman Breviary.
They may use this faculty in their own churches or oratories; in other places, however, only with the consent of the local Ordinary, except for the private celebration of Mass.
Without prejudice to the foregoing, the Holy Father suggests that, as far as possible, consideration should also be given to the provisions of the motu proprio Traditionis Custodes.
Given in Rome, near St. Peter's, on February 11, the memorial of Our Lady of Lourdes, in the year 2022, the ninth year of my Pontificate.
Francisco
